Reading Terms
By reading PC DTV Tech Magazine you accept the terms below. They are short, and they are written to be read rather than skipped.
1. What the magazine offers
We publish articles about home technology, software, household upkeep, business tools, travel and everyday life. Everything here is general information, written for a broad readership. It is not tailored to your devices, your contracts or your circumstances.
2. Not a substitute for professional advice
Some pieces touch on money, property, insurance, legal questions or health. In those areas we stay deliberately general. Before acting on anything that could affect your finances, your legal position, your safety or your wellbeing, speak to a suitably qualified professional who can look at your own situation.
3. Following technical steps
Our how-to guides describe common methods that work on many setups. Menus differ between versions, models and regions, and a step that suits one machine may not suit another. Before changing system settings, installing drivers or opening up an appliance, read the manufacturer's instructions, keep a backup of anything important and stop if something looks different from what we describe. Electrical and appliance work should always follow the safety guidance in the device's manual.
4. Accuracy
We work hard to keep articles correct and current, and our corrections promise explains how we fix mistakes. Even so, we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or up to date at the moment you read it.
5. Quoting and sharing
The text, layout and graphics on this site belong to PC DTV Tech Magazine unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to:
- share links to any page;
- use a brief extract, naming PC DTV Tech Magazine and linking to the piece it came from;
- print a page for your own personal use.
Republishing whole articles, or large parts of them, needs our written permission. Ask via the Get in Touch page.
6. Links to other sites
Articles occasionally link to websites run by others. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or the way they handle your data. A link is not a guarantee of anything that happens after you click it.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of information on this site, including damage to devices, data or appliances. Any responsibility that consumer law keeps in place regardless stays untouched by this section.
8. Privacy
How we deal with the little personal data involved in running the magazine is set out in Data Protection and The One Cookie Note.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised as PC DTV Tech Magazine grows or changes shape. Treat the wording you see here today as the current, binding text. Questions about any point can be sent to contact@pc-dtv.com.
