HomePC DTV Tech Magazine
Get in Touch
The easiest way to reach the magazine is by email at contact@pc-dtv.com. You can also use the form on this page, which opens your own email program with a message ready to check and send. Nothing is submitted through the website itself.
Messages we especially welcome
- Steps that no longer match. Menus move with every update. If a guide says "open Advanced options" and your screen shows something else, tell us which device and version you are using.
- Errors and broken links. Include the article address and the sentence in question.
- Questions worth an article. Many of our guides, such as How to Defrost a Freezer, started with someone asking how to do something properly.
- Topics we have missed. If one of our desks feels thin, suggest what belongs there.
Who reads your email
The inbox is shared by the four people who write the magazine: Petronella, Peregrin, Thisbe and Oswin. Messages are sorted by topic and passed to whoever covers that area. We try to answer everything, but the team is small and a reply can take several days, longer during busy weeks.
What we cannot do
We are writers, not a support line. We have no access to accounts with streaming services, broadband companies, device makers or retailers, so we cannot reset passwords, chase orders or sort out billing. Questions like those are best sent to the company concerned.
We also cannot give individual financial, legal, insurance or medical advice, or recommend a particular tradesperson or provider for your situation. Where a question needs a professional, we will say so politely.
Helping us help you
A few details make a big difference when you write about a technical problem:
- the device and, if you know it, the software version;
- what you expected to happen;
- what happened instead, including any exact error message;
- the article you were following, if any.
Your details
We hold on to your address just long enough to answer from the shared PC DTV inbox. No list ever receives it, and nobody else sees it. The details are on our Data Protection page, and our corrections promise explains what happens after you report a mistake.

Questions that reach us most
Quick answers that might save you an email, or help you write a more useful one.
Can you fix a problem with my streaming account?
We have no access to anyone's accounts. Billing, logins and subscriptions are handled by the company that provides the service.
Which TV, laptop or provider should I buy?
We do not pick products for individual readers. Our guides explain which features and numbers matter, so you can compare offers yourself.
A step in one of your guides no longer matches my screen. What should I send?
The article link, your device and software version, and what you see instead. That is usually enough for us to retest and update the step.
May I send you a topic idea?
Please do. Describe the problem you are trying to solve; many of our guides began exactly that way.
For a faster answer
Include these and we answer sooner
With these details we can usually reply without a round of follow-up questions.
- The address of the article you are writing about, if any
- The device model and software version you are using
- Any exact error message, copied word for word
- What you have already tried
- Whether you are happy for us to quote you, first name only
