About PC DTV Tech Magazine

PC DTV Tech Magazine is written for people who use technology every day without wanting to make a hobby of it. Most of our readers simply want the television to show the right thing, the laptop to behave, the phone to stop nagging about storage and the house to run with a little less friction. We try to explain the how and the why, then step out of the way so you can decide.

What we cover

The magazine is organized into desks, each with its own corner of daily life:

  • Technology Today - televisions, streaming, internet TV across different countries and the screens we spend our evenings with.
  • Applications - software, phone and computer routines, from moving photos to keeping Windows healthy.
  • Household - appliances, lighting and the practical upkeep that keeps a home comfortable.
  • Business - tools and habits for small firms, local search and digital displays.
  • Travel, Real estate and Everyday Life - the places we live, visit and plan around.

A few smaller sections, such as Insurance and Geeks, hold pieces that did not fit neatly anywhere else but still earn their place.

The people behind the pages

Four of us write the magazine, each under a pen name. Petronella edits and plans what comes next. Peregrin looks after screens, streaming and anything with a remote control. Thisbe handles apps, computers and phones. Oswin covers the household, travel and property pieces and reads every draft before it goes live. None of us holds a professional license in law, finance, medicine or engineering, and we do not pretend otherwise. When a topic needs that kind of expertise, we say so and point you towards a qualified person.

How a piece is put together

We start from a question a real person would ask, such as how to get a laptop picture onto the television or what a number on a spec sheet actually means. Then we go to the settings menu, the manual or the official help page before anyone else's summary. Where a step can be followed on our own devices, we follow it. You can read more about the reasoning behind this on Why This Bench Exists.

Where to begin

New here? First Steps Here gathers a handful of pieces that show what the magazine does best. Two popular practical guides are How to Connect a Laptop to a TV and How to Update Drivers on Windows Safely.

Getting things right

Technology moves, and some of what we publish will date. If you spot an error or an outdated step, our corrections promise explains what we do with your report. For anything else, the Get in Touch page has our address. Every message gets read, though answers sometimes trail by several days.

In our own words

Four people, one inbox, a lot of remotes

PC DTV Tech Magazine is put together by a small group writing under pen names. Between us we have taken apart more settings menus than we care to count, but none of us claims a professional title we do not hold.

What we offer instead is patience: the willingness to try the step, notice where it goes wrong and write it down in plain language so the next person has an easier time.
